Warranty Policy
REVISION DATE This warranty policy is valid from March 1, 2026.
1. WHAT IS COVERED IN THE WARRANTY?
Hydrix guarantees that its Products will be free of defects arising from faulty materials or poor craftsmanship under normal use.
Product Categories & Coverage Period
The following core components sold by Hydrix LLC are covered by a 2-Year (24-Month) Limited Warranty:
- Electric Surfboards & eFoils: Motor, Electronic Control System (ESC), and Remote Controller.
- Diving Scuba Systems: Air pump, motor, and internal battery/filtration housing.
- Power Battery Packs: All high-performance lithium battery units and backup batteries.
Scope of Service
If a technical failure occurs within the warranty period, Hydrix will, at its discretion:
- Replace the specific defective part free of charge.
- Repair the defective Product.
- Important: Under no circumstances will a full refund be issued after the product has been used.
2. NON-WARRANTY WEAR & TEAR PARTS (CONSUMABLES)
The following items are considered consumables or wear parts. They are not covered by the 2-year warranty once the product has been used, unless a manufacturing defect is reported upon the initial unboxing/delivery:
- For Electric Surfboards & eFoils: Propellers, Jet Pump Impellers, Fins (Skegs), Footstraps, Traction Pads, and waterproof O-rings/Seals.
- For Scuba Systems: Silicone Mouthpieces, Air Filter elements (Cotton/Carbon), air hoses, and waterproof gaskets.
- General Accessories: Charging cables, remote controller lanyards, and carrying bags.
3. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
This warranty does not apply to:
- Structural Damage: Breakage of carbon fiber shells, hulls, or polymer housings caused by impact or accidents.
- Propulsion Damage: Damage to the motor, jet pump, or propeller caused by ingesting foreign objects (sand, rocks, seaweed) or striking underwater hazards.
- Water Ingress: Damage caused by improper sealing of battery hatches, O-rings, or waterproof compartments by the user.
- Negligence & Abuse: Accidents caused by improper assembly, man-made negligence, or failure to follow the user manual instructions.
- Environmental Wear: Normal wear and tear, such as paint scratches, fading due to sun exposure, or corrosion caused by failing to rinse the unit with fresh water after salt-water use.
- Unauthorized Tampering: Any attempt to open sealed motor/ESC compartments or modify the hardware/software.
4. HOW TO INITIATE A WARRANTY CLAIM
To ensure a fast resolution, most technical issues are handled through remote diagnostics.
Requirements for a Valid Claim:
- Proof of Purchase: Order number and invoice from Hydrix or an authorized reseller.
- Visual Evidence: Photos and High-Quality Videos clearly showing the malfunction are mandatory for our technical team to assess the claim.
- Prompt Reporting: Claims must be made within 14 days of the defect becoming apparent.
Note: If an inspection reveals that the damage was caused by misuse (e.g., impact or improper maintenance), the customer will be responsible for repair costs and two-way shipping fees.
